I have never been very good at keeping things alive. Well, my dog is still alive, but he barks and reminds me to feed him and take him outside. But when it comes to plants and flowers I have never been good at taking care of them. So I bought two plants with the goal of keeping them alive and taking really good care of them for at least a year. I bought these two plants in August last year...and now LOOK! A whole year later!!
Okay, okay...so maybe that one is a massive fail. Poor thing didn't get watered enough and wilted within a few months. But look at the one below!
That's right!! It's still green (on top)! This thing has stayed right in our kitchen window all year long and it's still alive! I even transPLANTed (ha, I'm so punny) it to a new pot because it grew so much. Now I know what you are thinking, and yes, I know it's a cactus. But hey, baby steps. Maybe this year I will try to keep something alive that actually requires water ;)
